Meet Our Staff Bob Affel, President of Sun Electric for over 33 years, has organized the company’s growth from under $200,000 in 1978 to $10,000,000+ currently. “I’ve been fortunate to assemble a great team.” Steve Dockery, Vice President, joined Sun Electric in 1996. Steve has over 35 years experience in all types of electrical work. Steve’s “whatever it takes” attitude provides the ultimate in customer service. As VP of Business Operations he oversees a majority of the new construction. Bo Wall, Estimating, joined Sun Electric in 2008 with over 25 years experience. Bo started his career in South Florida in 1982 where he established a strong background in the commercial and industrial construction industries. He developed working relations with numerous organizations, such as Pratt & Whitney, NASA, Motorola and IBM. Bo relocated to Knoxville, TN in 2000 where he decided to continue his career in the electrical field using his skills in estimating and project management. Janine Bearden, Office Manager, joined us in 2007. A motivated professional with a diverse background of experience and achievements in managing human resources, accounting functions, managing office personnel, and enhancing operational productivity. Strengths in multiple areas include multi-million dollar budgeting, accounting, hiring/recruiting practices, compensation/benefit plans, employee contracts, and establishing positive relations with clients and employees. Paul Shire, Field Supervisor, began his electrical apprenticeship program in Tucson, AZ in 1985. He became a foreman with Sun Electric team in 1990. Paul’s electrical experience includes leadership of our largest commercial and industrial projects. His emphasis is on high quality work production and completely satisfied customers. Chuck Shipley, Field Supervisor, entered the electrical field in 1984. He came to us in 1997 and rapidly advanced to Foreman of large projects. Currently he maintains production and discipline in the Knoxville Area projects. Sam Payne , Purchasing, came to Sun Electric in 2006 as an electrician, having worked in the electrical field since 1981. His skills include all aspects of electrical work including installation, estimating, material purchasing, project management, scheduling, and close-out of electrical projects. David Romines, Warehouse Manager, began in 2000. David’s 15+ years experience in the electrical field along with his knowledge of materials and tools, ensure timely delivery of ordered items. |
